Architecture Inspired by Agriculture

Thinking Buildings are excited to have submitted their latest one off house design for planning approval. The project is for a local farm owner and the scheme involves a new farmhouse inspired by the ‘Dutch Barn’ agricultural buildings that are found on the site. The aim is that the shape and materials will allow the new house to blend in with the agricultural setting particularly due to the sensitivity of its open countryside location.

Working with farm and land owners has been a growing sector within our business over the last couple of years. This project fits into a wider farm estates and master plan vision that Thinking Buildings have developed with the land owner to diversify the farm operations in the short, medium and longer term.

We will keep you updated as the planning application progresses.
