Busy Times For Thinking Buildings

Busy Times For Thinking Buildings

It is like the world has accelerated (and our business for that matter) in 2018. We have had double the amount of enquiries in 2018 so far and we have secured a fantastic range of projects that will keep us busy for months to come. We have been commissioned for a new community centre in London working with Beard, a new primary school project for Gloucestershire County Council, a London office fit out with LCMB and we have been commissioned for a number of projects at a country estate that includes the full renovation of a listed farmhouse, a barn conversion to form an estates office, and the renovation of 2 historic cottages.

We have also picked up our first university project with Stepnells for the fantastic new Percy Gee building at Leicester University and we are currently progressing the reserved matters planning applications for the Milton Park project for a new multi-million hotel and restaurant development, and initial feasibility proposals for building 2 at Monument Park for Jennings. Alongside this, we have been working hard to deliver the technical design for the £4 million sports centre for Kingham Hill Independent School and the £3 million Fairford Primary school expansion project. Our new house sector remains incredibly busy as well and we have a number individual new house projects at various stages.

To meet this expanding workload we were delighted to welcome a new Architect, Ashleigh Clarke into the business in our Bloxham office. Ashleigh has all the skills to be a real asset to the practice moving forward.

Finally, a reminder that we are still searching for a talented technician/technologist and Part 2 graduates to join both our Oxfordshire and Derby offices. Do get in touch if you want or new challenge with an upcoming practice or if you know anyone that might…..

It is exciting times ahead.
