We’re interested to read Tessla, the electric car manufacturer is soon to release its new Powerwall, a home battery that stores electricity generated from solar panels.
Historically the problem has been that you can only use the electricity produced whilst the solar panels are producing, the surplus would be fed back into the national grid or you needed to come up with a way of turning the electricity into something else which could be stored, such as hot water. This new product now offers home-owners the opportunity to store electricity for use in the mornings and evening/night when typically demand is higher, but production low.
This sounds a very interesting development. Find out more here: http://www.teslamotors.com/powerwall
We’ve have at least one client interested in this already.
