We are delighted that our latest contemporary house design has been submitted for planning approval. This new 5 bedroom property in Buckinghamshire replaces an existing chalet bungalow. The scheme takes advantage of the site that slopes down to the rear and the design response was to create a set of stepped terraces with a semi-basement level that directly accesses the rear garden. The scheme’s architecture is simpler to the public road elevation using traditional forms, shapes and materials. To the rear the scheme has greater articulation and depth using balconies and terraces and a projecting zinc clad element provides strong design focus and identity, sitting over a solid rendered plinth.
We think that this could be a fantastic and unique house, carrying on our run our designing bespoke one-off houses for our private clients.
More to follow as the project progresses through the planning progress.
