Planning Appeal Success

Planning Appeal Success – We were absolutely delighted to receive news that the planning inspectorate overruled the decision of the local authority to grant planning consent for this really interesting design for a new dwelling in an Oxfordshire village. Despite being within the conservation area and surrounded by listed buildings, the design concept for this scheme was to reinterpret the local traditional rural vernacular architecture to create a sensitive, yet unique contemporary house. The general pattern and shape of the proposed building references surrounding buildings but is mixed with large format thin framed glazed sliding doors, high-quality oak timber cladding, structural glass balustrading to the hayloft dormers set in deep reveals.

After a patient wait as we have trawled through the appeal process, we can now look forward to working with the private client to building this one out. More to follow in due course……
