We’re delighted to confirm planning approval has recently been given for a very modern extension to the rear of a very traditional building. The original building, built in 1840 sits within a Conservation Area and was once part of a school.
The proposals are for a very modern and contemporary to the rear of the house using a mixture of materials such as render, stone, wood and zinc. The extension will have a considerable area of glazing, with large sliding doors to the ground to provide access into the garden area.
Modern extensions in Conservation Areas can often be a challenge to obtain planning approval, so we’re very pleased with this result.
