Timber Framed Garden and Office Pods

GARDEN ROOM, OFFICE OR STUDIO?

There are a variety of names because they come in a limitless number of designs to fulfil a wide variety of requirements. They can be large, open plan spaces for an office or a workshop or a stylish entertainment space like a cinema or reading room. Additional rooms can also be added to create a completely self-contained annexe, complete with bedrooms, bathrooms and a kitchen.

Thinking Buildings have been working closely with a specialist timber framing company for a number of years, helping plan and design high-quality garden rooms. Whatever the spec, all of our garden rooms are designed with a few key benefits in mind:

• Cool in the summer and warm in winter
• Light, well insulated and ventilated
• Year round usable space
• Functional and cost effective or innovative and luxurious

Compact, Stylish, and Modern. If you’re self-employed or have a small business,
compare the installation and running costs of a garden office to the equivalent space in a rented office. An office could make a stunning addition to the garden.
A garden room makes the perfect workshop, studio or place to relax. With an overhanging roof and decking to the front, it is also ideal for simply sitting out and enjoying your garden. These spaces can also be used as an additional bedroom for visitors or a teenagers den or chill out space. Or maybe an adult chill out space?!.
Compact, Stylish, and full of light, these can be used for arts or hobbies. Maybe for painting or a place to practice music away from your home.

WHAT’S THE COST?

A fully insulated garden room can cost as little as £5,000 and anywhere up to £30,000. The standard designs normally do not require planning permission so there are no planning or drawing fees. Comparatively with an extension or office let, they are a significantly cheaper alternative and all of our designs can be built with 1-3weeks, so there is minimal disruption.
