It must surely be a sign of success when the builder is given a thank you card from the pupils……
It was great to see the builder being thanked by the children for all their hard work to finish a project at Ann Cam CE Primary School in Dursley. The project was funded via the Diocese of Gloucester and involved re-locating the school entrance with a new reception, administrative area and headteachers office. Thinking Buildings worked with the School to achieve a positive sense of arrival, integrating the school badge and name on the entrance doors, nice new lighting and an oak reception desk. This new space also provides security and safeguarding that was previously lacking. A good team effort by all and particularly to the contractor ILEC who have done an excellent job.
Thinking Buildings have had great success over the last year in developing their education portfolio and we are currently involved in 15 primary school projects with the Diocese of Gloucester. These range from projects involving new school design, extensions, re-modelling, repair and maintenance. We have also been appointed to prepare 5 school development plans to assess the current condition and suitability of existing schools, and to identify how the school buildings and site could be improved and extended to suit growth over the short, medium and longer term. Thinking Buildings have also assisted the Diocese in preparing 2 ACMF bids to secure funding for 2 Academy projects.
Long may this continue as our business grows from strength to strength. We look forward to many more education projects.
