Thinking Buildings are delighted to be the Architect for the expansion of Christopher Rawlins Church of England Primary school in Adderbury. This significant project proposes to expand the existing accommodation from 1 to 1.5 form entry with the school eventually accommodating 45 children per year group. Thinking buildings recently secured planning consent for this exciting scheme, and tenders are currently being sought to appoint a contractor to build the scheme out. The project is funded by Oxfordshire County Council and the Diocese of Oxford in response to a need to provide more pupil places in the local area.  The proposals include an expanded foundation stage unit, larger school hall, additional classrooms as well as support accommodation such as toilets, storage a brand new production kitchen. Outside new play areas are proposed including a new all weather multi use play surface that can be used throughout the year.

Subject to funding it is anticipated that the scheme will be completed during the 2017/18 academic year.  We will of course keep you posted as things progress.
