Boddington, Stratford Upon Avon

Barn conversion stable painted brick and stained timber Stratford Upon Avon Warwickshire weather vain courtyard

An example of one of the home we designed in this delightful project involving the restoration, conversion and extension of an existing range of Grade II listed stables and agricultural barns into 5 new luxury homes. The project is located in the hamlet of Luddington, just a stone’s throw away from Stratford Upon Avon.

Within extremely challenging planning and heritage constraints Thinking Buildings worked closely with the client to deliver a scheme and layout that was appealing to modern living and trends, whilst also being sensitive to the existing setting and buildings. The existing fabric and historic structures were carefully restored and repaired using appropriate traditional techniques, involving detailed consultation with the Conservation officer.

The property sits within a fabulous rural setting overlooking the surrounding countryside, with the barns arranged around a central courtyard. The end result has beautiful open plan vaulted kitchen, generous room proportions, high levels of craftsmanship and bags of character.
